The Student Life Committee (SLC) is a standing committee of the Rensselaer Union Student Senate tasked with oversight over student rights and well-being, including Title IX Policy, Institute disciplinary policy, the Student Handbook, and all other advocacy issues not under the jurisdiction of another committee. It was established in 2008 as a merger of the Committee on Student Life and the Committee on the Judiciary and Student Rights.

The Committee on Student Life (CSL) was formed in 200X after the end of the Senate's usage of the team system.
Formation
Despite the similarity in name, records from the 39th Senate indicate that SLC was considered a new committee at the time, distinct from CSL.
