Vice President of the Executive Board
Vice President of the Executive Board is a title used by the chief deputies of the President of the Union, and are responsible for overseeing the functioning of the Rensselaer Union Executive Board. Since 201X, the Executive Board has had three positions holding this title: the Vice President for Board Operations (VPBO), Vice President for Club Relations (VPCR), and the Vice President for Rules and Special Projects (VPRSP or VPRP).
In case of resignation of the President, the Vice President with the longest tenure on the Executive Board becomes Acting President.

The Vice President of the Union (known as the Vice Chair of the Executive Board until 2016) was the chief deputy of the President of the Union, and the original sole holder of the title of Vice President. It is unknown when the office of Vice Chair was first created, and little is known about it until it was renamed on April 7th, 2016, alongside many other proposed amendments to the Executive Board Bylaws.
In 2019, the office of Vice President was split into three[1].

The Vice President for Board Operations (VPBO) is the first position that currently holds the title of Vice President of the Executive Board, and the most direct successor to the Vice President of the Union. They oversee committee operations, and serve as acting committee chair for all unchaired committees. They also maintain and oversee attendance and committee requirements for Executive Board members, and assist in running Executive Board meetings.

The Vice President for Club Relations (VPCR) is the second position that currently holds the title of Vice President of the Executive Board. It oversees the relations between clubs and their Executive Board representatives, and assists in training. They also represent any club not represented by another member of the Executive Board.
The VPCR is not to be confused with the chair of the Club Operations Committee (Club Ops), which is a separate entity, although the VPCR is tasked with providing updates to Club Ops with regularity.

The Vice President for Rules and Special Projects (VPRSP) is the third position that currently holds the title of Vice President of the Executive Board. It was established to replace the Policies Committee of the Executive Board, and its primary purpose is the maintenance of the Rensselaer Union Guidelines and Procedures.
